Admissions requirements:
Germany
At undergraduate level Birmingham requires a minimum score of 2.0 overall in the Abitur, but standard offers vary depending on the degree subject and often require scores between 1.3 and 1.8.
We will consider holders of the European Baccalaureate (EB) with grades between 75% to 85%, entry requirements will vary across courses.
For postgraduate study, we require a good "Magister Artium/Diplom/Erstes Staatsexamen" (First State Examination) degree from a recognised German university (with a minimum GPA of 2/5), will be considered for entry to taught postgraduate programmes/Mphil/PhD degrees.
English proficiency: recognised proficiency test required.
Poland
Holders of the "Matura/Swiadectwo Dojrzalosci" (Secondary School Certificate) with a minimum overall score of 70% and a minimum score of 70% in at least three extended level exams will be considered for entry to the first year of most of our undergraduate degree programmes.
For postgraduate study, holders of a good "Magistr" degree from a recognised Polish university (with a minimum GPA of 4/5)) will be considered for entry to taught postgraduate programmes/MPhil/PhD degrees.

LSE offers undergraduate and postgraduate level degree programmes in a wide range of social science subjects.
Admissions Requirements
At undergraduate level LSE requires a minimum score of 1.5 overall, but standard offers vary depending on the degree subject and often require scores between 1.2 and 1.5.
For postgraduate study LSE requires the Magister Artium, Diplom or Erstes Staatsexamen in an appropriate subject with 2.2/gut or a high 'vollbefriedigend'. Candidates can also be considered if they have the Zwischenprüfung/Vordiplom and a third year of substantive study with good grades.

Location, campus and student population
Loughborough is located in the very centre of England in between the two major cities of Leicester and Nottingham. It is only 90 minutes by train from London. The attractive single-site campus is the largest in the UK with many green open spaces. 16,000 students attend Loughborough University of which approximately 15% are international from 133 different countries.
Accommodation
Due to the size of the campus, Loughborough University students benefit from a huge choice of accommodation. There are 5,600 rooms available on campus and much more accommodation available off-campus. Much of the accommodation has been built or refurbished within the last year (2009 – 2010).
Sport at Loughborough University
